Africa

I wish my life was a musical. I really do.

How fun would it be walking down the street, singing and dancing with fellow citizens? I think it would be AWESOME!

Thus far, my life has not turned into a musical - no matter how hard I try.

However, there is one small, amazing exception to this rule: My sisters and I have a theme song.

This wasn't always so:

One fateful day in September 2008, my older and younger sister and myself drove down to our local video store to rent a movie. During this drive, the song "Africa" by Toto came on the radio and we pumped it UP!

Ever since then, I now associate this song with my sisters and the good times that are had when we're together, and, if I can, I turn up the volume and have a mini dance party.

...Well, I'll have a mini dance party just about anywhere. :)

I dedicate this to my sisters.

"Its 'gonna take a lot to drag me away from you
There's nothing that a hundred men or more could ever do
I bless the rains down in Africa
'Gonna take some time to do the things we never had."

Cute blog! My sister and I frequently call each other and instead of leaving messages just sing bits of songs as the message. Our family has their own birthday song that we coopted from Disney World when it was Donald Duck's birthday... yes it's dorky, but hey, that's what families are for!
